What kinds of ideas about presentation skills did you think about as Sir Ken Robinson presented his ideas about education? How could you incorporate what you saw into your town TED talk?
Sir Ken Robinson was very good at speaking in front of a crowd. He seemed very comfortable on state with everyone watching him. Robinson made eye contact with everyone in the crowd by turning his body and looking around. He stood polished and proper yet calm. I could incorporate those qualities into my own TED talk by remaining calm. Sir Ken did not move around often like I do so I could try not to bounce around to much because then then the crowd seem more relaxed if you are.
How did Sir Ken Robinson's talk resonate with you? How might or might not Genius Hour Support Ken Robinson's ideas about how to change education?
Sir Ken Robinson's talk resonated with me well. Ken thinks that if we changed our education system to be more like Finland's, less kids would be dropping out of high school. He made very valid points about the U.S's education system. He mentioned that ADHD is not an epidemic but we are making it seem as if one. If the school systems taught its kids in more enjoyable ways, less kids would be caught not paying any attention. Genius Hour supports Robinson's ideas on education because it allows kids to be more open and creative with there learning.
